How exciting! Our Silent Art Auction raised more than $1800!
Each classroom (and a few additional individuals) created an art piece for the auction that was held in conjunction with Student Led Conferences. There were a lot of creative pieces that were awarded to the highest bidder! This fundraiser was a joint effort between the Belfast Fundraising Society and our Belfast We Care Club. Proceeds collected for the We Care Club are being directed to the Make a Wish Foundation. Some of our We Care students talk about why this is important to them personally:
"I think we should support Make a Wish because I know people who have cancer and they really need support throughout their lives." - Lilly
"I think Make a Wish is important because they help lots of people." -Ali
I think it's important that we choose Make a Wish because there are kids that are always going to the hospital and that is never fun. When they plan out a which that a kid's always wanted - I just think it's important. also it is something the kids will always remember." Tatum
"I chose Make a Wish because I feel that if I made a wish and i had a deadly disease, i would want it to come true before I died." - Hannah
"I like the Make a Wish Foundation and i support it because it allows kids to get a second chance to be happy. they get to do things they've always wanted to do." Coleton
