Hi Belfast families & friends:
The below is important events OR information that we want to share with you:
Belfast School participates in a school wide swimming program hosted by Village Square Leisure Center. Our Grades K, 1 & 2 students will be hitting the pool on June 5, 6, 7 & 9. **Please note: there is NO swimming on Thursday June 8.
Things to know:
· Students will need to bring swimming suit & towel
· Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing for ease of removal at the pool
· Students will need a healthy snack
· Please note: there is no extra cost as this is covered within student’s activity fees
At Belfast we consider Fidget Spinners to be toys and encourage students to keep these at home. Students should not be using these in their classrooms, nor bringing them to play with during lunch time. Please read our principal blog this week for further information. http://belfastschool.weebly.com/principal-page

Wear Blue for the JDRF Walk - coming on June 15!
JDRF stands for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We have several members of our school and family community that are affected by diabetes and are using this event to educate our students about the disease. In the weeks leading up to the event, our school will be collecting loose change (and not so loose bills) in support of this very important cause. We are very proud to be the first school in Calgary to get involved with the JDRF Walk. The walk will take place during the lunch hour and will follow a similar format as the Terry Fox Run.
Kindergarten: While the JDRF walk happens outside of Kindergarten hours, Kindergarten students are welcome to stay with their parents for the fun lunch and walk if they would like to participate. Please submit lunch orders to Mrs. White.
