Residency Celebration Night - Parent Information
On Tuesday night we will celebrate the work our students have done with Sara Smith, the Rogue Naturalist, our Artist in Residence. The celebration starts at 6:30 and doors will open at 6:00. Students should report to their classrooms at 6pm that evening. That will give everyone time to get their props and costumes sorted and allow us to begin the evening's festivities at 6:30pm sharp. Also please remember that many of the students have been asked to wear as much black as possible.
Evening information & Schedule:There will be a stage show and an art walk of classroom galleries running simultaneously. To accommodate all families in the gym we ask that you attend the following schedule:
K,1 & 2 families will explore classrooms first then go into the gym after the break
Grade 3-6 families will go the gym first then explore classroom exhibits after the break
At the intermission, there will be time for everyone to take a quick social break, then swap to whichever experience they have not yet encountered. Running time for each half is approximately 40 minutes and we are aiming to wind the evening up by 8:15pm. We are very excited to share our learning with you and look forward to seeing everyone there! There is NO admission for this event! We would like to thank the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and our School Fundraising Council for their sponsorship of our Artist in Residence program!
During the evening celebration, the We Care Club will be holding a small We Market in Room 7. They will be selling baked goods, snacks, coffee, hot chocolate and some student-made craft items. All proceeds will be used to purchase schools supplies for a small school in Calvaire, Haiti. Ms. Dahl and Mrs. Ayer will personally deliver the supplies over Spring Break!
If you are willing to support this cause and donate some baked goods, please fill out this form (https://goo.gl/forms/szdNX7tPkPreh8wH3). Thank you!”
